Ashwagandha, also known as winter cherry or Indian ginseng, has been used in India for centuries as a traditional remedy for a wide range of conditions. It is best known as an adaptogen, an herb that maximises the body’s ability to cope with stress. Ashwagandha is said to increase energy output. It is also used by both men and women to support a healthy libido.
¼ to ½ teaspoon with warm water, yogurt or in a smoothie. Take once or twice daily, or as directed by your health practitioner.
